What sets Livewell Apart in the Vet Med Industry?

Livewell as an organization stands out in the veterinary industry for a number of reasons:
Client service and patient care with empathy
For any veterinary clinic, clients are real people who just want the best for their pet. Our clinic focuses on urgent care, which means these clients and their pets are usually experiencing something scary. Their pet is feeling ill and might be in pain. At Livewell, we don’t ever want to lose sight of this.
Whether the final diagnosis is determined to be minor or severe, each client should leave feeling as though they were given a thorough explanation of the care plan and options for their pet. They should feel as though they were treated with patience and compassion at each step of the way, from phone call, to check in, when discussing diagnostic options, selecting treatment options, and by time of discharge and check out. We don’t ever want our clients to be made to feel as if their opinion doesn’t matter, or as though they are being forced into a decision. The recommendations and options are given clearly, but any questions they may have need to be answered. If the plan doesn’t make sense to the client, in my mind we haven’t done our job.
Quality medicine
Livewell hospitals are designed and outfitted top to bottom to deliver high quality care. The clinics are state of the art, and built to handle almost anything. From the exam rooms, surgery suites, in-house lab work machines, digital radiology, supplied medications and equipment, practice management software and equipment, even down to the patient kennels—all aspects have been designed or selected with the goal of being able to provide great care without exception. All staff members are also thoroughly trained on best practices, and standards of care are designed around a commitment to excellence.
Increasing access to care
Another key focus is to be available for pets and their owners when they need us most. We are proud to be able to provide same day availability for almost all cases, and we accept walk-ins and drop off appointments. If an owner has a concern about their pet, we make every effort to help, to get them in and get them seen. We don’t ever want anyone to feel as though they are being dismissed or turned away.
While our price points are fair, and to be honest have often seemed to pleasantly surprise our clients, we also understand that the economic statuses and background may be varied from case to case. Where appropriate, we gladly offer alternative treatment plans that work within the budget available, and this is always communicated with grace and without judgement.
Regardless of a client’s budget, our pricing and available options are always shared with utmost transparency and respect.
For these reasons and more, I am proud to be a founding veterinarian for Livewell. I am excited to get to work and get started seeing patients and helping owners for each and every shift. I am so glad I took this role, and am so grateful for the opportunity. I cannot wait to see our clinic, my support staff, and Livewell as a company overall, all continue to grow!
